Although I'm not a big fan of snow or ice, I am a fan of taking photos in it, especially if I have a new Fisheye lens that I want to experiment with on my Holga 135bc.
Leeds isn’t really well known for its countryside or greenery, but when you leave the city, you are reminded that you are still in Yorkshire and that surrounding the city there are hills, trees, and the countryside all around you.
Along the ring road of the city is one of the biggest towns in England: Horsforth and surrounding Horsforth are endless fields and rolling hills that follow the valley of the River Aire. This is where I decided to take photos with my new Fisheye lens and my Holga 135bc to capture the hazy, soft winter light, and the beauty of the snow over the fields. I think the results capture the serene atmosphere of the snow in Leeds perfectly.
The Holga 135BC will veil your images in mystery. “BC” stands for “Black Corner”, as this camera creates a shadowy vignette in corners of your photos. See this mysterious beauty in our Shop!
I want to share with you my experience with some slides when I was in Russia. I'm very sorry for them because I messed them up. They're just ruined and they'll never be the same! But hey, I have thousands of them, so I guess it's not a big deal after all.
If it's your first time to use the Fisheye Submarine Case (with your Fisheye One/Fisheye No.2 cameras) or the Krab Underwater Housing (with your LC-A+ or LC-Wide cameras), you might still feel a liiiiittle bit anxious about taking your favorite cameras underwater. To help ease your worries I gathered some of the most helpful tips, straight from summer-lovin' Lomographers who braved the waves with their cameras!
Sometimes when taking pictures I get addressed by strangers either because of my cameras or because they don't want me to shoot something they claim they have responsibility for. But having the police on my back was a new experience.
I don't care if this film has been reviewed a zillion times, that it has already been discontinued, or that there might be a Japanese version of it. The Agfa CT Precisa that I know gives me the blues. Oh, yes - not a Chelsea FC fan, but this film is all about the color blue. Say hello to the blues!
My list of resolutions for 2015 consists of 12 projects, one for every month. In January, I tried some camera add-ons. If you want to add a bit of extra bling to your pictures, you can put something either in front of or behind your lens. In this case, I did both.
Some people say instant photos bring about a feeling of nostalgia. Although I often use the Lomo'Instant Camera with different crazy accessories such as the Splitzer and color gels, I have to agree there is something about it — dreamy vignettes maybe? — that always makes me want to go back in time and experience it all over again. In the name of analogue photography and good old memories, we passed by some classic spots in Vienna and took one shot after the other. Take a closer look at our gallery.
Duncan Frazier and Stephen McGuigan are focused on creating niche technology that inspires. Founders of Bitbanger Labs, a Brooklyn-based outlet for their ideas, the two friends developed a revolutionary light painting device — Pixelstick. Boasting of exactly the same optics as the legendary LC-A camera, the Lomo LC-A Minitar-1 2.8/32 M Art Lens brings for the first time the signature lomographic style not only to analog, but also to the digital platform.
