In this article, I would like to show you a video that I think is one of Italian street artist Blu's best work. As he puts it, it's an "unscientific point of view on the beginning and evolution of life and how it could probably end."
It’s been a few years since I first stumbled upon Italian artist Blu. I was fascinated by his enormous murals and the stories that came to life in his stop-motion animations. Now Blu is one of my favorite artists. His art is witty, sometimes critical, or sometimes being more subtle and, other times, very obvious.
In this video, Blu cleverly goes back and forth between two-dimensional and three-dimensional elements. The animation, which is made up of individual photos, is rounded up by entertaining sounds and noises. The fact that he also manages to tell a captivating story that is funny and serious at the same time, is not to be taken for granted and therefore very admirable. You can only imagine how much paint and pain went into the making of such a video. See it for yourselves!
Be sure to check out some more of Blu’s videos and murals. Look for his art on the street as he has been known to make his mark all over cities.
