Meet Malaysia's LomoCouple #2: Jibamz and Delina

They met when they joined the Lomography community back in 2008. Let's check out how this happened and the story after they met each other.

Jibamz, is a full time lover from Johor, Malaysia. He is a sheepish, forbearing, indomitable, and sometimes magnanimous male who fell in love with analogue photography in 2005 before he met his another half. Delina, is a Customer Care Consultant at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. She is a happy go lucky, friendly, hardworking and funny girl.

How long have you been together?

Jibam: Honestly, I don’t remember how long we’ve been together. Yeah, I’m bad in this matter. But the funny thing is we both don’t remember the exact date. Haha. But till now, I always feel that we have just started our relationship.
Delina: We do not have a date but we started our relationship in the end of 2008.

What do you love about each other the most?

Jibam: We have the same hobby, I guess. We always share everything we have with each other.
Delina: I love his sense of humor.

Is he/she your source of inspiration?

Jibam: She is one of my sources of inspiration for me to achieve something. She always gives me advice and opinions in everything that we have discussed.
Delina: Yes, of course! He is one of my inspirations.

What sorts of favourite activities do you do together as a couple?

Jibam: There are many activities that we’ve been through together. Outings, gigging and travelling, are the most favorite activities that we do together.
Delina: We like to go for a trip together, attending gigs as we both love music, watch movies, and hanging out with friends.

Do you usually shoot together? What are some of your favourite things about shooting photographs together?

Jibam: We usually shoot together when we are go out for a walk, or hang out with friends. But the best part is when we went to a gig; we took photos of the band together. The best part about shooting photos together is I can tolerate and exchange ideas with her at that time. And from there, we can understand each other more.
Delina: Yes we like to bring our camera when we go. We like to share ideas and share about composition and creativity.

Tell us the most heart-warming moments that happened in your life, so far?

Jibam: I’m not a romantic person in love or relationships. But everything that she has done to see me succeed is heart-warming. Only God can replace her soul.
Delina: When I have all my friends and loved ones to hang out with and have fun. I am most happy when we are together.

The most unforgettable, strangest, funniest or worst photographic/Lomographic encounter that you both ever had together.

Jibam: We had lost more than 10 cameras, developed, undeveloped and underexposed films when my house was broken into. A bag full of her cameras and my cameras and equipment, all gone.
Delina: We have a lot of moments together but the most unforgettable was when we stayed up all night setting up the installations. There was a lot of mixed emotions involved during the installations. At the end of the day, we felt satisfied with all the hard work and the team work. That is why it is very memorable.

Tell us something about what both of you been doing lately, like your latest project and your future plans?

Jibam: I’m on my way to graduate from my studies. At the same time, my future plan is that I would like to open my own business after I graduate.
Delina: We are working on our doubles project and we are organizing a lot of exhibitions and events together.

If you could go together to any place in the world to shoot, where would it be and why?

Jibam: I choose Maldives and Germany. Why Maldives? Because it’s a place for our honeymoon when we are get married. Why Germany? Because I want to go to “Wacken Open Air”, a summer open air heavy metal music festival that is held there every year.
Delina: I would like to go to the beach, any beach in the world to take underwater pictures and I would like to take pictures while parasailing. It must be fun if we can take pictures from the bird’s eye view.

If you could gift your partner any Lomography camera, what would it be and why?

Jibam: After she lost her LC-A, I replaced it by giving her the LC-A+ 25th Anniversary Edition 2 years ago. I might give her something premium as a special gift. But I have to wait until I can afford to buy it.
Delina: The Diana F+ camera.

Do you have any tips & tricks or shoutouts for other LomoCouples out there?

Jibam:Just be yourself. Don’t pretend. Appreciating each other is the most important thing. Sharing things will make you learn about give-and-take.
Delina: Share your happiness together!

What will you be doing this Valentine’s Day?

Jibam: Since I don’t celebrate Valentine’s Day, I might do the same daily routine. Going to class, watching tv, smoke some dope and yeah, chilling out with her and fellow friends.
Delina: I don’t really fancy Valentine’s Day as I don’t need to wait for a specific date to be romantic. However, we are just going to do our normal routine together on that day.

    Solar Eclipses and Beyond

The skies were busy with magic today — or maybe it was just the solar eclipse that caused all that ruckus? Decked out in space-age goggles and other various sun viewing paraphernalia, groups of people gathered as the moon moved between the sun and the earth this morning across Europe. Only a few lucky folks witnessed the total eclipse, and here at Vienna HQ, the greatest moment of the partial eclipse happened at 10:45 A.M. and lasted only a few minutes. We stopped everything we were doing to join the sky watchers crew and share in this astonishing moment. Check out these brilliant solar-inspired shots to celebrate the occasion!
