Film Canister Amplifier

19

I'm pretty sure you've heard enough of tipsters about reusing and recycling empty canisters. To some, empty canisters are nothing, but to many, they are always something. Here's another something from nothing.

At the end of this tipster, you’ll be able to amplify the sound your earphones. This is not meant to be a loud speaker or something that you can play during parties, get togethers, or any other happenings that would require loud music. You can use this while taking a shower, before going to bed, while at work, or any activity that doesn’t require loud sound.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Film canister
  • Knife
  • MP3 player (I used my iPod Classic)

First, you need to cut the bottom part of the canister making both ends hollow.

Second, cut two rectangular-shaped hole at the tip of the canister. Make sure that their positions are right across each other (for better positioning of the earphones).

Third, put the earphones in place and cover the canister. Make sure that the speakers are facing apart. Only the speakers should be inside the canister, do not include the wires.

You’re ready to play some good music!

hello @i_am_bad_news_in_the_best_way thanks for trying this out and sorry if you're disappointed :)
There are lots of factors why the sound was not in any way louder. Could be the volume of your player, earphones, ambience, etc., Cheers!
