The LomoRoadShow Wants YOU!

7

The LomoRoadShow is coming for you! We've packed our bags, stuffed our suitcases with cameras, rolls of film and more goodies, and we'll be touring the Netherlands and Belgium this year! We need your help though, because we need to decide which cities we'll ransack with our wacky cameras and that's where you guys come in!

In the past year we’ve finally opened the first Dutch Lomography Gallery Store in Amsterdam. Splendid! Every week there are at least 2 awesome activities going on. Scavenger hunts in Amsterdam, Diana workshops, release parties, the invention of the paperclip, we need just a tiny bit to validate a good shindig.

Now, it’s all fine and dandy that we’re so active in Amsterdam, but we feel that the people who are further away also deserve some Lomographic lovin’. So here it is; The LomoRoadShow!

The Lomo-WHAT?! The LomoRoadShow. It’s like a traveling circus side-show, only the bearded woman and the tallest man are replaced by cameras, films, goodies, and awesome people who accompany them, visiting exotic places in the Netherlands and Belgium to involve more Lomographers and even convert some people to the analogue gospel. We’re looking for cool places where we can organize an event, like a theater, music venue, youth centers, or other neat places where we can unpack our stuff and make you happy.

What we want you to do is to gather up all your friends. Be they analogue virgins or just as obsessed with Lomography as you are. The combination of you, your friends, and our LomoRoadShow will result in cool workshops, LomoWalks, and other festivities (remember, we even celebrate the invention of the paperclip). Every LomoRoadShow event will be unique, which means that they may differ every time, but you’re more than welcome to go to every one of them!

We want to have one LomoRoadShow every month in a city in the Netherlands or Belgium and we need your help to do so. Where should we take our side-show? Do you know some awesome places we need to visit? Which cities are suited for a LomoWalk and where do the coolest Lomographers live? Please let us know by responding to this article!

Last but not least, if you’d like to help us organize a LomoRoadShow in your city, or if you know a lot of people, venues or organizations that could be interested, let us know! Lomography is all about sharing and we would love to have you participate in organizing the LomoRoadShow in your city. Just leave a comment and we’ll get in touch!

We’re super ecstatic about the LomoRoadShow and we hope to see you guys soon! Lomo on!

Lomo love from the entire Dutch Lomography crew!

I think this video speaks by itself: COME TO GRONINGEN! You will find lomographers...
I will not be here, but the city is absolutely worth it, market on Saturdays, amazing University Administration Building, a lot of night life and parks! There is everything in a very small space!

Haha, is this where everybody starts plugging their home town? (Come to Amertsfoort!) I'll say something different then: go to Eindhoven! Not the prettyest town around (far from it...), but there's a lot going on with design and art, and I think lomography would totally fit in there. Think Design Academy, Piet Hein Eek, old Philips factories turned into cultural hotspots.Googel Klokgebouw and Strijp-S to see what I mean.
