For our second community workshop of the month, we decided to showcase the Diana F+ in all it's glory, through the eyes of one of its biggest fans!
It was fitting for our Lomography community member Lucyeve to be asked to lead a workshop on her favorite camera, the Diana F+, for a Diana Dialogues workshop was her very first outing with the Lomography Gallery Store LA. Lucyeve has long believed that the Diana is both one of the more simple lomography products, one of the most fun and amazing, and felt that it had the most to offer to omo neophytes and regulars alike.
Ranging in age from middle schoolers, high schoolers, to even soon to be first time mothers, most came to the workshop not knowing a Diana F+ from the plethora of other cameras in our arsenal. Lucyeve soon put these distinctions to rest as she launched into her very own powerpoint, peppered with her own Diana images and lead the group through a range of topics including history and techniques. Soon everyone was ready to start loading their Diana's, and with a little help, we were off.
The group enjoyed their time walking around the fair streets of West Hollywood on a particularly balmy January day, and everyone seemed to embrace the last of the golden rules and held on to no rules at all. Check out some of the fun that was had….
