My Analogue Bucket List for 2012: Lomography Addiction

With the start of the year, I have already planned out my things to-go-to and things-to-buy for this year. Unconsciously, all of what I have on my list are about or is connected to my Lomography addiction. Thus, coming out with my Analogue Bucket List.

On my list of things to buy or my must haves this year first is:

1. La Sardina: Sea Pride

image via Sears

Sea Pride is one of those original La Sardina cameras that came out last year. When I was about to purchase it last December, the Lomo Embassy here in Manila had it already out-of-stock, when I checked the Asia online store, it was also unavailable. So I waited, then came January it was still unavailable. Though, the other La Sardina cameras came out later that year. The Patterns and Metal edition, for me, it didn’t capture my attention, a La Sardina collection wouldn’t be complete without the original camera series of the sardine cans edition

2. LC-Wide

I have been saving all the Piggies I have for this bad-ass camera. Although, I already have the LC-A+, it wouldn’t hurt if this gets into my collection. So I’m thinking of more articles to submit, join in as much rumbles and just watch out for those Piggy giveaways. This is one of those premium cameras, so it would really help if you get to earn plenty of Piggies.

3. Fuji Sensia 100 / Sensia 200

images via FujiLab

Hoarding is not good by any means, but when Fuji announced that they’re discontinuing the production of this film, I had second thoughts. Its been a while now, I have been buying and scrapping for sellers online and some shops that still have stocks. Each kind of film has its own characteeristics, so it would be great if I get it in both ISOs.

4. Kodak Ektachrome E100VS

The E100Vs of Kodak is one of the more expensive films they sell here in Manila. If I could save a little more, or get a good deal when buying in bulk, I would probably get a couple lots of this film. It may be that expensive but I’m pretty sure the results would be all worth it.

5. Start Lab Rat Experiments

Credits: boredbone

I have different books of Lomography that have different experimentations in it. But, for the longest time, I haven’t done any. Well, except for DIY redscale films. So, this year I would like to do more experiments as those in the Lab Rats pages. Thank you boredbone for the inspiration. The last experiment he did was the “bomb” (the one in the photo)!

There are still many things I would like to have or do this year but with the limited resources, this 5 on my list would pretty much pre-occupy me for the rest of the year. Hopefully, I would be able to do all of them this year.

Let’s make 2012 a year full of creativity and analogue love! If you liked this article, go ahead and check the rest of analogue bucket lists for 2012 submitted by the community! Of course, you can also submit your own inspiring analogue bucket list for 2012 and get more piggies!

My Analogue Bucket List: Faster Than a Speeding Cannonball

The new year is still young, but it seems as if it'll be over quickly. My organizer is already filled with entries until June. 2015 will probably be worse than 2014 when it comes to having time off so I could take some analogue shots. Anyway, there are some photography-related things that I really want to get done. It is probably best to set some goals if I only have very limited time.

Creative Vision, Personified:The Community's Most Creative Lomographers

As Steve Jobs puts it, "creativity is just connecting things." It's all about tracing one's experiences and pushing the boundaries of what's already known to establish new things. The Lomography community is no stranger to these instances. In fact, the community is filled with brilliant minds who are always ready to refine existing techniques and look for innovative ways to express their visions and ideas. Here are just a few of the creative lomographers we've come to love over the years.

Pushing Boundaries: Multiple Exposing Film Soup

As you may have read in my previous article, I truly fell in love with Lomography when I combined my Fisheye camera with an old Canon AE-1 for magical photographic results. Last summer, I took so many pictures of flowers that it started to become almost boring for me. My waning interest and the coming winter meant that I had to figure out something else to do with my 35mm film.

My list of resolutions for 2015 consists of 12 projects, one for every month. March was for caffenol. You have probably heard of the amazing fact that you can develop black and white photos with coffee, sodium, and vitamin C. I had tried this before but with less than stellar results. Somehow, there's always something going wrong. Time to devote a few rolls to caffenol to finally get the hang of it.

My Year in Analogue: Something New, Something Old

Hi, everyone! I'd like to share with you my 2014 summary on analogue photography. Some things I did were completely new, while some were my good old habits. This year I learned how to develop black and white film, which I consider my greatest milestone. But the most important thing is that in 2014, I remain in love with Lomography! And the rest? Well, let's see...
