Diana+ 110mm Telephoto Lens

4

This is for me the most underrated Diana Accessory which, hopefully will change after this review. I don't watch the Tele but I LOVE the TELEphoto lens!

Nearly a year ago I was asked to go to Milan and present a workshop on the Diana+ and Holga. I’ve been a Holga fan for over 5 years but new little of the new (at the time) Diana+ and her accessories. I tried the lot out, love the wide-angle lenses and the standard one but the 110mm Telephoto stood out. It’s fantastic for portraits, snaps, landscapes and general toy camera abstract madness! The results are quite diverse and true to form unpredictable but i love the style. Heavy vignette, super-soft edges and the usual ‘where is it going to be sharp’ feeling. The 110mm stays on my Diana+ all the time now and makes it look so plastic-pro!

I enjoy the small critique, though I can't say I've found much use for the thing, yet...

What I want to know is what would be a good idea to shoot with this?

The original Diana F is a plastic beauty from 1960s Hong Kong. The Diana F+ is a reinterpretation, which is in no way inferior to the old Diana. It´s so versatile with all the optional accessories and lenses like no other lomography camera. And because of this, I will show you what makes this camera so special.

Transient Living: Armitage & McMillan in Denver, Colorado

If you want to know the heart of a person, peek inside his/her wardrobe! And no, nobody famous said that; I only just made it up. But really, don't you think it's true? After all, the way we dress screams our personality; at least for most of us. And that is why, as soon as I land on a new city, one of the things I absolutely must do is find the local boutiques. Sure, I love the fancy chain boutiques as much as the next person, but there's just something else about a local clothing store. It's unique!

    Changing Seasons: Durham in Autumn

Durham is a beautiful but tiny university city in the north of England famous for its amazing cathedral, which is one of Britain's best loved buildings. When I was studying at the university, I loved to go for crisp, autumnal walks around the cathedral and the river, kicking the leaves and basking in the golden glow of the season. The Lomography Redscale film perfectly captures the beauty of this time of year.

A Salute to the Masters: The Democratic Eye (A Tribute to William Eggleston)

William Eggleston is one of the most important contemporary master and pioneer of color photography. In this article I write a tribute to his particular democratic way of looking around. For him "Nothing was more important or less important", and everything is worthy of being photographed. Again, he is fond of the dear old film; he said that "I don't think much about the digital world, because I am in the analog world!". Read more after the jump!

My Year in Analogue: Something New, Something Old

Hi, everyone! I'd like to share with you my 2014 summary on analogue photography. Some things I did were completely new, while some were my good old habits. This year I learned how to develop black and white film, which I consider my greatest milestone. But the most important thing is that in 2014, I remain in love with Lomography! And the rest? Well, let's see...
