Mitch McGee: Birch Series

1

Artist Mitch McGee works on several mediums for his artworks. For a series, he used birch plywood layered together. Learn more about him and see his works after the break.

Mitch McGee graduated from Baylor University with a Fine Arts degree. For one collection, he creates images on thin birch pieces. He describes his art as a meeting between painting and sculpture. First he draws the design on the wood, cuts the pieces out, sands them to smoothen the surface, and then assembles the pieces together to form the final result. The texture of the birch wood adds character to his artwork. His artwork will be displayed at Elisa Contemporary Art. See images of his artwork and the details for the exhibition below.
