If you crossed the border into Manchester's Northern Quarter last week, hopefully you had your Northern Quarter Passport from Yelp.com, the best way to get some great offers from some of N4's best shops!
Here at the Lomography Gallery Store in Manchester we can’t resist a good party, so when we heard that Yelp.com was releasing a Northern Quarter passport full of deals and offers to use in N4, we jumped at the chance to host the launch! There were samples from some of the Quarter’s finest eateries including beautiful Deli platters from Fyg Deli, incredible pizzas from Dough Pizza Kitchen, some of the best brownies we’ve ever eaten from Home Sweet Home and some amazing flapjacks and Manchester tarts from Robinson's Bakery. If you prefer your bread dipped, we had some lovely loaves from Bakerie too! So, with bellies full, it was time to sample the alcohol which was provided by Brew Dog. There were three different choices on offer: Punk IPA, 5am Saint and for the daring among us there was Hardcore IPA, rated at 9.2% abv. We’re fairly sure it left a few visitors with sore heads the morning after!
So, now that we were fed and watered it was time to boogie on down with some of Manchester’s finest acoustic acts. Tunes were provided by Amy Clarkson, Rachel Hillary, and rounding off the night with some delightful harmonies was Taylor and the Mason.
