I've taken advantage of two Lomography bag boxes I've just got... new Lomography bags and new filing "cabinet" made of cardboard!
Today I got two bags from Lomography store… my “Leave the Digital Grind Behind” x-large bag and my new yellow sling-on bag.
When I saw these boxes I didn’t have a clue of what to do with them because they are too big! But they are so nice with those great pictures, so I didn’t want to throw them away. I got an idea! I have loads of envelopes full of exams and papers, I couldn’t have them anymore on my dressing table (I really have too many!). Now I can keep them save and store them into my closet. I just had to make them fit into these boxes and that’s it!
Voilà, all my papers saved, more space for books and cameras! Lomography is helping in everything… Lomo on!

Some weeks ago, I made a tribute to the great photographer Robert Frank and his 1958 black and white series taken in New York from a bus window. He is the master of the ordinary moments, capturing the essence of daily life in a series of free and random sequence of photos where nothing important happens! And as I've written there I wanted to take a similar experiment with color film, which would change the perception of the environment where people live. Read more after the jump!
It all started just like how most stories of found photographs usually do: Collectors Robert Swope and Michel Hurst of Full House discovered a box of what apparently contained the Casa Susanna archive at a flea market in New York's 26th Street.

In this article, you'll find detailed information about color schemes, the advantages of shooting in medium format, and the differences between standard redscale films. Here are the results of a day of shooting outside, which I recently got back from the lab.
Feldküche is a group that organizes dinner parties with a difference by cooking wonderful meals for groups throughout the Austrian countryside. This summer, we gave them a New Petzval lens to use in capturing their wonderful gatherings of people, food, drink and nature. We then got the opportunity to chat with Martin Fetz who runs the organization about what they do and their experiences shooting with the Petzval.
