My Analogue Bucket List for 2012

11

In the beginning of each year I make a new resolution, which consists of 10-15 things I want to do, buy or achieve. This year I was inspired by Lomography and besides my New Year's resolution I made a list of things I must do, buy or achieve - (Analogue) Bucket List for 2012.

1. Last year my friends and I did some sea kayaking. I took all photos with disposable waterproof camera, but they didn’t impress me:

This year we are planing to go sea kayaking again. We are also planing to do some glacier river rafting. I really badly need LC-A+ and Krab before it happens.

2. I like dresses. I mean, I love them. They make me happy. Especially vintage ones. And this is the reason why I have to learn sewing. My heart brakes when I find one in a second-hand shop and can’t take it home because it’s too big, long or needs a new zipper.

3. Reykjavik-Stockholm-Göteborg-Karlshamn-Klaipeda-Vilnius-Copenhagen-Reykjavik in September. It will be an amazing trip. We will travel by plane, ferry, train, car and foot of course. I am really excited about the ferry. Hopefully we will fly in a hot air balloon too. We are going to visit our friends and families. And take millions of photos of course.

4. While traveling in Lithuania, I want to buy a Lubitel 2 or any other medium format camera. It’s been a dream for a while, and I think 2012 is a perfect year to get acquainted with medium format.

5. I have to get into photography school. I must. Photography is the only thing that I am always excited about. I think it’s very important to have a profession that makes you happy. And now I see that this is the only way for me.

Let’s make 2012 a year full of creativity and analogue love! If you liked this article, go ahead and check the rest of analogue bucket lists for 2012 submitted by the community! Of course, you can also submit your own inspiring analogue bucket list for 2012 and get more piggies!

Forget about photography school, it's a waste of time.
You will get more experience and knowlege just by shooting on the streets.

Analogue Bucket List: 12 Months, 12 Projects

January is always packed with good resolutions, most of which get broken even before the month is over. This year, I have decided to rework my resolutions into a bucket list of monthly projects.

12 Months, 12 Projects: January - Masks and Filters

My list of resolutions for 2015 consists of 12 projects, one for every month. In January, I tried some camera add-ons. If you want to add a bit of extra bling to your pictures, you can put something either in front of or behind your lens. In this case, I did both.

My Analogue Bucket List: Faster Than a Speeding Cannonball

The new year is still young, but it seems as if it'll be over quickly. My organizer is already filled with entries until June. 2015 will probably be worse than 2014 when it comes to having time off so I could take some analogue shots. Anyway, there are some photography-related things that I really want to get done. It is probably best to set some goals if I only have very limited time.

My Year in Analogue: Old Cameras and New Techniques

2014 has been a good year for me, photographically speaking. I finally realized a few projects I had been dying to try out for a long time and, despite my resolution not to buy new ones, acquired some new cameras.

12 Months, 12 Projects: February - Nighttime Traffic

My list of resolutions for 2015 consists of 12 projects, one for every month. In February, I wanted to take one of those long exposure night shots of traffic. You know the type: nighttime cityscape, with bright red and white stripes where traffic passes. I love those shots, but I had never gotten around taking one.

Transient Living: Armitage & McMillan in Denver, Colorado

If you want to know the heart of a person, peek inside his/her wardrobe! And no, nobody famous said that; I only just made it up. But really, don't you think it's true? After all, the way we dress screams our personality; at least for most of us. And that is why, as soon as I land on a new city, one of the things I absolutely must do is find the local boutiques. Sure, I love the fancy chain boutiques as much as the next person, but there's just something else about a local clothing store. It's unique!

My Day in Analogue: Weekends in Bandung

Hello, fellow lomographers! To be honest, ever since I started working last year, I haven't been able to write a single analogue lifestyle piece. But today I decided to write something about my days, especially about my weekend in Bandung. It's not much but I take it as the start of a new beginning in writing all over again here. So, here's my weekend in Bandung!

    Monday Moodboard: 1990s Summertime

It's been a boiling, scorching, baking hot summer here in the Philippines since March, and believe it or not, I haven't been to the beach yet. I'm going to do something about that, but not without making another playlist for the trip! This time, I decided to make a mix inspired by the summer vacations of my younger days.

My Day in Analogue: Lazy Summer Days at Home

Every summer, my soul screams for a lazy, hot day back at my parents' home, for some good food, relaxation, and catching up with childhood friends. This year is no different, so I went back down to my small hometown in the very northeast of Belgium to enjoy a perfect laid back day doing nothing and everything. And of course, I brought my analogue cameras along to eternalize all of these small but grand moments in life.
