A Different Visualization of One's Likes in the LomoHomes

In 2011 exactly 9,184,059 different items were liked on Lomography, a majority of those being photos and articles. Right now, you can see a person's photo likes in their LomoHomes, but what if you wanted to see which articles you have liked? Or someone else's? So, we thought about a different visualization of one's likes.

One of my liked photos – it’s by filby and has nothing to do with this article really…

So wanna see how it looks like? Right now it’s only unlocked for me, just wanted to get some feedback of you before we roll it out! You can find it at www.lomography.com/homes/recurving/likes – let us know in the comments what you think of this!

Super. Articles should come with a tiny preview pic too I think. Would make it more visual and clickable.

I like it! sometimes I want to look for an article I liked but it´s very difficult to find it. With this it´s going to be easier.

Love it! It does indeed look more like pinboard. Very strong.

A really nice idea and I like the layout, but it would be nice to also have an option to categorise it by article type, or maybe camera or film, similar to the tag clouds you get on some of the photo pages.

I like, this is indeed handy for searching for an article you liked, and I think it looks better too.

I'm with @traaaart and @simonh82, would be great if we could apply filters or perform searches. I love the pinboard design. Quite "Pinteresting". :)

Like @traaaart I think it would only be useful if you could filter it. I agree with @vicuna also. I would want to see it perhaps as a leader filterable by photos and articles. I would be upset if the current basic view of photos was removed as it allows you to see those you've liked very quickly with no/little scrolling.

    Lomography's Little Lessons: Film Speed

Sometime between 6,000 and 10,000 years ago, a boy in northern Afghanistan was born with a gene mutation that hindered his eyes from producing melanin and thus from turning brown. He had blue eyes. If you see someone with blue eyes today, he is a descendant of this unlucky fellow. I am one of those weird folks and apart from feeling like a mutant and being Angelina Jolie’s secret sister, I am sensitive to light like an ISO 6,400 film.

    A Color Remix

It's human nature to be restless and imaginative. The real may be interpreted as what one sees or how one sees something. For the daydreamer, a scene from nature transforms into a canvas. Suddenly a field makes room for chemical coloring, all those anachronistic streaks that somehow look right. Or else, those beautiful colors amplified or subdued to their most pictorial shades. All in the world of trial-and-process film photography.

A Salute to the Masters: Judo (A Tribute to Sabine Weiss)

This article is a tribute to the street and humanist photographer Sabine Weiss. Considered a living legend in street photography, she likes to photograph daily lives of people, trying to capture the emotions she recognizes around her. Weiss like to photograph people of all ages but she especially loves to take photos of children, masterfully immortalizing their spontaneous gestures and emotions. For this article, I was inspired by one of her rare sports photos of some children practicing judo. Do you want to know more about this great artist? Well, read on!

And to those looking into fulfilling their own dreams of working in the same industry, Izzo also shares helpful advice based on her own experiences.
