Urban Adventures in Bugis Street

Bugis Street is located in the central part of Singapore. Bugis Street is the name of a street in Bugis. It is also one of the largest street-shopping locations in Singapore. The nearest MRT station to Bugis Street is Bugis MRT station.

Bugis Street is one of the most famous areas in Singapore. Any Singaporean should know or must know this place. Bugis Street has a lot of small shops selling street wear as well as accessories. Bugis Street has shops selling food too. It is a haven for students and young adults to patronize.

Apart from being one of the largest street-shopping locations in Singapore, Bugis Street is also one of the streets that lead to the famous Sim Lim Square, a shopping complex famous for IT gadgets such as computer, handphones, sound systems, cameras, video cameras, and other electronics.

There are a lot of things to check out in Bugis Street apart from street-shopping. There are performers performing regularly and randomly in Bugis Street too. I have noticed this performer who has been captured in my photos while I was in Orchard too.

If you are lucky enough, you may spot a tiny soldier crawling on the pavement in Bugis Street.

Lastly, beside Bugis Street, there is another shopping mall by the name of Iluma. Located at the top of the building, there is a large figure of the famous Pokemon character, Pikachu. Check this out.

The World According to Herr Willie: The Amazon

It was the Amazon which I had longed for my whole life. And when it was finally a set deal that I will travel to Brazil with two of my best friends for the Copa do Mundo (World Cup), we really had to start our adventure in the Amazon. I had known about this magical place deep in the rainforest. There was a lodge run by local people of indigenous background, with wooden houses that float on the water and a limited number of visitors. It was eco-tourism as how it should be. To preserve and to celebrate one of the most impressive locations I have seen so far.
