Eyebombing - The Googly Eyes Revolution!

2

"Humanizing the world, one googly eye at a time" is the slogan, and animation through imagination, smiles and, perhaps even something (someone?) to talk to, is the result! Read about this initiative, with your own pair of googly eyes, after the jump!

Some of these photos show two googly eyes slapped on the most mundane, man-made, street protrusions. Some show characters you hardly find anymore, in today’s world, such as the silver haired old-lady in the park that greets everyone ‘good morning’, the spick-and-span firefighter waving you a hello on their fire engine, or the bathroom gossip who entertains over an elongated hand wash session!

How to Get In on Some Googly Eye!

Anyone can participate (obviously there’s no stopping you from purchasing some googly eyes and sticking them in the most obvious, or not at all obvious, of places) though we’re not sure if the authorities will ‘participate’ along with you if they ‘see’ eye-to-eye with you and ‘view’ the effort to humanize as littering!

The Eyebombling community is a site to inspire newcomers, by sharing and archiving photographs of these creations! While the creation process itself comes with no rules, there are a set of rules for taking their portraits! They are as follows:

1. Only images of inanimate objects with wiggle eyes – NOT stickers.
2. Only images taken in the public space.

So this, charming as it is, would not be correct.

A Good Cause Beyond Providing a Quick Smile

There’s talk of a book, “a large book project”, to raise awareness of street art that are oftentimes overlooked. All net proceeds will go towards Caring Clowns International.

Wishful, simple, vivid you
Googly eyes cover you!
