We were definitely getting into the holiday spirit here at the Lomography Gallery Store LA! We gave a Lomographic twist to the traditional holiday portrait in our Holiday Portrait Workshop!
Using a Diana F+ camera, backdrop, and all the props your heart could desire we created portraits fit to last the ages! Whether the style was cute, serious or funny, everyone created a photo ready for framing or decorating those holiday greetings. Check out some of the portraits and the behind-the-scenes action!
Lomography Gallery Store Soho ran our first ever Lomo'instant workshops at the Wilderness Festival in the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside. The weather was glorious and we were fully booked all weekend. We managed capture the festival spirit with an LCA Wide and a Lomo'instant of our own.
The evenings are getting darker and the autumn colours start to fade, but fear not, because the Lomography Gallery Store Soho have a super bunch of workshops and a brand new exhibition from Joe Prileszky to warm the cockles of your heart. We were recently invited along to the award ceremony of the Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize Exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery. We decided to take two Petzval lenses along to document the evening. One with film and one with digital. Have a look at the results here.

In New York City, winter has been harsh and long, the nights long and cold, and shooting outside is not fun anymore. So when the Lomo'Instant Boston Edition hit the shelves this week and the new Splitzer arrived at the Lomography Gallery Store New York, we decided to do a round of light painting portraits instead of sunny ones.
A vacation is a trove of vibrant objects: the countertop of sublime-looking drinks, the mosaic tiles that line an Olympic-sized pool, the nautical stripes of beach chairs. We remember in detail, and photography is our way to anticipate what we will catalog long after the break is over. This Lomography Color Negative gallery celebrates the still life wonders of these dreamy holidays.
We love Asher Moss' work. He's been our LomoAmigo for quite some time and is always eager to try new stuff. We recently gave him the Lomo'Instant camera to experiment with, and here are some of his shots.
You want your subject be the center of attention? Petzval lens photos are recognizable for sharpness and crispness in the centre, strong color saturation, wonderful swirly bokeh effect, artful vignettes and narrow depth of field that will make your subjects stand out!
As all you lomographers will know, since its re-inception we have been following the tracks of the Petzval Lens. Indeed, this bokeh-genius has been traveling far and wide, falling into the hands of many a photographer the world over. Come take a look at the outcome of the Petzval’s transnational journey.
Christopher Logan has covered New York Fashion Week extensively with Lomography. He's had individual publication and drawn in crowds to our NYC Gallery Store.
