Handstrap in Peacock Blue: Weapon of Beauty for Your Beloved Camera

6

Peacock feather is one of seven ultimate hidden weapons in the novel of “Gu Long”, and also the most beautiful and powerful weapon. Well, can a handstrap in Peacock Blue made by Lomography be the ultimate accessory?

Since I became a lomographer, I have been looking for a cool handstrap for my Diana Mini and also for my precious LC-A RL but I couldn’t find the best one at all. Mostly, men-style hand straps are in black or brown, while blue hand straps are kind of too cute or come with crystals which is not okay with me. But then, Lomography released a multi-color hand strap collection, which are so awesome! They come in Vibrant Orange, Lime Punch, and the must-have one, the beauty I fell for, Peacock Blue! What a cool color it is! So I bought it online (in a hurry).

This cool handstrap is well-packed in a box. The first time I touched it, I felt like touching a cool, hidden, but beautified weapon for my camera. My impression when I opened the box saw its color, “this is what I was searching for in a long time.” It’s not exaggeration, I really love it because this color cannot be found somewhere else. “Peacock Blue” color is not too sweet and not too dark, but I’m okay with it even if it’s darker because I love the color blue anyway. I also love the Lomography buttons on both of its sides.

Not wasting time, I let hang it on my beloved camera!

Well, it seems like my camera got a tail; maybe I can say it’s the beauty of peacock’s tail. Someone may say the color does not match, but in fact, before Lomography released this handstrap, I bought a bag in the same color. It also matches the Diana Mini camera. Along with the LC-A+ Keychain, I got great accessories for my favorite camera!

The Lomography Camera Handstrap is super handy, and it’s strong enough to string your camera along everywhere you go. Every Lomographer on-the-go must have a Leather Handstrap, available in our Online Shop.

Are these made from leather? I've been transitioning to veganism and I've been thinking about getting a strap.

@cmgawthorp93 Yes, it said "made from vegetable tanned leather with an organic finish".

In the hands of those capable wielding it, art can be a powerful weapon. With it, for one, creation of fantastical realms far removed from the one we live in is entirely possible. Through collage making, Eugenia Loli builds such worlds that invite the audience not only to marvel at them but also, and most importantly, to see through the hodgepodge of images to find meaning and formulate interpretations.

The World According to Herr Willie: Olympiastadion Berlin

The 2015 UEFA Champions League Final will be held at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin on June 6. It is a place full of history and is also the only football stadium with a blue track course. Some say it is the most beautiful stadium in the world, and I totally agree with them. But then agai,n I might be biased because it is the home court of my favorite team, Hertha BSC Berlin—my blue-white bloodline.

    Nishe: Exploring Emotions Through Photography

There's a certain air of sadness in Nishe's portraits. More often than not, the faces of her subjects are either partially or completely hidden. Sad, yes, but undeniably beautiful. Melancholia, as well as loss of innocence and the pains of growing up, are recurring themes in the photographer's body of work and she presents all these quite gracefully.

The World According to Herr Willie: The Amazon

It was the Amazon which I had longed for my whole life. And when it was finally a set deal that I will travel to Brazil with two of my best friends for the Copa do Mundo (World Cup), we really had to start our adventure in the Amazon. I had known about this magical place deep in the rainforest. There was a lodge run by local people of indigenous background, with wooden houses that float on the water and a limited number of visitors. It was eco-tourism as how it should be. To preserve and to celebrate one of the most impressive locations I have seen so far.

Long Exposures Around Europe with the Minitar-1 Art Lens

One of the things I like the most about the Minitar-1 Art lens is how sharp the focus can be when you shoot with a small aperture. So if you are one of those that like to shoot at night, get a tripod, add this to a late dark winter afternoon, and you will end up with a bunch of beautiful long exposures. This is what I did on my last trip to Europe.
