Do you have something that you consider the 'number one' of your life? If you have one, it’s time to show us then what it is!

“One is the loneliest number”

This is what everyone usually thinks of this digit, while there are those who would like to believe that this also have a very positive meaning and refuse to accept its definition that’s commonly synonymous to isolation. Indeed, this is one of the things currently mused upon by us, especially now that we’re on a calendar that progressively falls on a date resetting back to the prime number one: 11.11.2011

Still, this number have a lot of different connotations for everyone – it could be your pet cat, your loving wife or even your worst enemy that lives next door– all of which you consider number one! And these kind of shots are what we’re looking for this showdown!

Please take note of the minor changes regarding the details for this contest below

  • 2 winners will be selected, one by the Jury and another winner will be determined by the number of likes on the submitted photo (within the showdown period)
  • Prize(s): Jury’s choice will receive 15 Piggies and a badge while the Community’s choice will have a very special badge to be pinned in their LomoHome
  • Film/Camera Type: Any analogue photo not digitally enhanced or manipulated. Please keep in mind of our ‘Your Number One’ theme.
  • Upload Limit: 1 photo per user
  • Minimum Photo Dimensions: Submissions must be at least 768px in either width or height.
  • Meta data must be completed (camera, film, location & 3 tags)

@fookshit: the upload limit is set at 10 pictures, but the text says 1. Maybe you should fix that, I already see several people who've uploaded more than one pic...

  2. holgadd

hai stratski maybe that rule it's true..

  3. fookshit

@stratski aaack! thanks for that. updated the submission system now... would love to see those excess submissions though ;)

  4. megustastu

It's unfair to see more than 1 submissions from other lomographers when I could only submit one picture :(

  5. fookshit
    fookshit ·

@megustastu don't you worry, only one of their submission will be considered for the showdown :)

  6. rjk_89

I'm one of the people who submitted more than 1 photo (oops).. My bad... I'm just curious to know how are you gonna choose the 1 photo of the people who did submit more than one?

  7. fookshit
    fookshit ·

@rjk_89 well, it's up to the jury what will they pick and depends on community which one they would like! ~_^

  8. attelid
    attelid ·

you should ask them to choose the one they want to keep and to remove the others! it's easier, and more polite ;)

I don't like all this, the most amount of likes system. In other comps like that it ends up being a popularity contest. The one who knows the most people on here will win. There is nothing about which photo is best!

Transient Living: Armitage & McMillan in Denver, Colorado

If you want to know the heart of a person, peek inside his/her wardrobe! And no, nobody famous said that; I only just made it up. But really, don't you think it's true? After all, the way we dress screams our personality; at least for most of us. And that is why, as soon as I land on a new city, one of the things I absolutely must do is find the local boutiques. Sure, I love the fancy chain boutiques as much as the next person, but there's just something else about a local clothing store. It's unique!
