November 19th is our one year anniversary here in Gramercy! Celebrate our first year at a very special Blue Hour on the 17th. So grab your birthday hat and have some cake with us!
The Blue Hour is a weekly event for all Lomographers to enjoy some social refreshments and entertainment. Stop by the Gramercy Lomography Gallery Store each and every Thursday from 6pm and make some new friends! As you may know “The blue hour” comes from the French expression l’heure bleue, which refers to the time after the sun goes below the horizon and the sky goes into deep blue for a while. The time is considered special for photography, because of the quality of the light at this time of day. This event is always FREE! If you are a DJ, musician or performer and would like an opportunity to perform at Lomography’s Blue Hour please email your information to firstname.lastname@example.org
After a long wait, the Lomography Petzval lens has finally officially landed on our online shop and in our gallery stores. To celebrate and to get a glimpse of this legendary Petzval Lens, which was first conceived of in 1840 and reinvented by Lomography last year, we gathered media personalities and photography lovers at the Hong Kong Gallery Store for this very special evening.
Spring is our favourite month so we are putting on some special workshops and events at our Soho Store. We have organised our first ever LCA 120 workshop and on April 11th you can join us for our great big Analogue Day Party. Read on for the full details.
For the last year we've been working on the next version of Lomography. We based our work on the feedback you’ve given us over the years and we wanted to share it as early as possible with you and can’t wait to hear what you think. Just one warning first: it is still in development and things can break. All the photos, comments, likes, homes and everything else were transferred as of October 16th, 2014. So anything you do on next.lomography.com won't be reflected on www.lomography.com and vice versa. Once we are done with testing, everything you did here will be deleted again. So this is a big playground for you to explore.
On the occasion of the German DVD release of Wim Wenders' latest documentary, "Das Salz der Erde (The Salt of the Earth)," on April 9, we asked you to send us your best black and white photographs. You have done your best and so making the decision was quite difficult. Read on to find out who will be celebrating with DVDs and piggies!
