Landscapes of the Dogon country are absolutely breathtaking. I could stay entire days starring at the plane, at the top of the cliffs.
The Dogons are a group of people living in the central plateau region of Mali, south of the Niger bend near the city of Bandiagara in the Mopti region. Dogon country is composed of 3 zones: the plateau, the cliffs and the lower plain.
The plateau rises like an immense fortress to a height of approximately 300 meters above surrounding plains.
It consists of an ancient eroded terrain of flat table bands, with layer of late rite, ironstone shield, or impervious conglomerate. It is delimited by the Bandiagara escarpment, a cliff of more than 200 kms long, which runs from southwest to northeast. The plateau is covered in a typically Sudanian flora. The most common trees are baobab trees, kapok tree, mango tree, and acacias. On the plane, live Peul herdsmen with their cattle.

I prefer being outdoors whenever I go on a vacation at the seaside. For this reason, I always choose to stay at a campsite instead of a hotel. This year, I stayed at a beautiful one in the south of Italy. Here is a series of photos which I received a few days ago from the excellent LomoLab service, taken with my Sprocket Rocket. Have a look after the jump!

It's late October in Copenhagen and summer was well and truly behind us. With the nights drawing in, the chances of going out with one of my cameras was slim. All was not lost at this time of year, however, as it allowed me time to focus on my own personal music projects—I am a professional composer/musician and audio engineer at my own studio by day.
