The Diana+ Instant Back and How I "Instantly" Fell In Love with Pinstax

A review of the Diana+ Instant Back.

Photographic inspiration seems to come to me in waves. I get highs. I get lows. Sometimes everything dries up and I can almost see tumbleweeds on my photos. Other times I just need something to spark my imagination and a tsunami of creativity seems to flow out. But one thing I can always count on being a part of the Lomographic community is that around the corner there is always a new product guaranteed to get those juices flowing.

So when I got my hands on the Diana+ Instant Back it was more than a spark – it was a lightning bolt.

Without hyperbole, I can honestly say that this is the most exciting new accessory I’ve shot with in a very very long time. At first, I was so excited to try out the back with different Diana+ Lenses. The thought of close-up, superwide, fisheye, multi-exposed photos with the Instax film was beyond exciting.

But then I discovered my new favorite photographic format (at least until the next cool product comes out), the PINSTAX photo! I haven’t had this much fun taking pictures in a long time. Just remember to TAKE THE CORRECTION LENS OUT when shooting pinhole and you’ll be fine. About 1-2 seconds exposure in the sun, 2-5 when overcast, and so on. I plan to shoot a lot more pinstax to come, but for now, check out the results!

Okay!, I thought that might have been the problem, Why didn't LSI think to use a Darkslide slot on this so we could change the format of shooting!!!! I might try and sort out my own!
