For our World Photography Day Rumble, we set our sights on some pretty nifty and downright amazing alternative processes for our analogue photos. Check out the winners after the jump!
You never have to settle. If you’re getting the doldrums shooting the same things day in day out, it’s time to try out alternative processes that will jump-start your photography! Need solid examples? The winners of the World Photography Day Rumble speaks for themselves. Hit them up if you want tutorials. Congratulations and good work, guys!
Between Lomography and Skillshare there are a lot of talented people. Photographers from all corners of the globe have come together to share in exploring what Lomo stands for: a little bit of experimentation mixed with an eye for aesthetics. We've chosen winners from our SkillShare Rumble -- check out what these students shot!
You want your subject be the center of attention? Petzval lens photos are recognizable for sharpness and crispness in the centre, strong color saturation, wonderful swirly bokeh effect, artful vignettes and narrow depth of field that will make your subjects stand out!
In celebration of the mindblowing solar eclipse we had the other day, we ran a competition and asked you to tag your analogue photos centered around our great big yellow friend! Check out the winners now!
We asked you if your photos were worthy of having their own exhibit, from the accidental shot that was taken from your hip or even the posed perfection you asked of your subjects. And you delivered! Check out the exhibit-worthy winners!
There is nothing better than a photo shot at the perfect moment. Henri Cartier-Bresson's principle on "The Decisive Moment" is a principle that we should still follow to this day. A perfectly-timed photo creates impact, whether it's one of a friend jumping into the pool or a couple emerging from the ceremony on their wedding day. For this rumble, we want to see that breathtaking moment, shot at the perfect time. And you showed us what it's like to be on time.
Did you have a blast celebrating all things analog last Film Photography Day? We highly suggest bringing out more bottles of champagne and tossing the confetti once more. The party is just starting for our winners!
