Oakwell Hall: For a Pleasant Afternoon in the Fresh Air

Slap bang in the middle of two West Yorkshire Postcodes (WF16 & BD19) sits the 'Famous' Oakwell Hall. Built in 1583, the Hall stands proud, and the grounds are open for visitors seven days a week.

Upon entering and getting the car parked, you take a walk down some flat (pushchair friendly) paths which take you past some sculptures, for the artistic natured:

Past some climbing and sliding entertainment, for the young at heart:

Love this photo of Evie (my niece) shouting down the Loud-haler:

The path winds across an open area where dogs can be walked, kites can be flown, and people can sit, and just enjoy the countryside scenery:

Across a small stream…

… and up towards the Hall itself. Here you will find a little more art:

Some ducks, cows, and a small cafe for refreshments:

And some fantastic countryside mossy walls:

On an overcast day like today, the views were a little bit muted, but in the sunshine it is truly glorious.

A great day out!
