As you know the Lomography Gallery Store New York has been workshopping our butts off! Check out the recap of images from our last two workshops, the LC-A+ Workshop and the Portraits of Women Workshop.
As you know the Lomography Gallery Store New York has been workshopping our butts off! In February, we celebrated love by introducing New York LomoLovers to their new significant other, the LC-A+. After a quick lecture about the quirks and qualities of the beloved LC-A+, we all took a walk around our photogenic Greenwich Village neighborhood and put our new lessons to the test!
We also celebrated International Women’s Day, by holding our very own Portraits of Women Workshop. Packed with posing and angle tips and tricks to keep the women in your life looking as stunning in photographs as they are in real life.
Where you there? Head over to LomoLocations and share your story. While you’re at it, you can submit your Workshop photos to this post!
We hope you join us for one of our upcoming workshops at the Lomography Gallery Store @ 41 W 8th Street in NYC: Diana Dialogues Workshop
In New York City, winter has been harsh and long, the nights long and cold, and shooting outside is not fun anymore. So when the Lomo'Instant Boston Edition hit the shelves this week and the new Splitzer arrived at the Lomography Gallery Store New York, we decided to do a round of light painting portraits instead of sunny ones.
Swapping the LC-A—his constant photographic companion during the first two months of the year—with the Sprocket Rocket, Derek Woods kicks off the first week of March with more beautiful panoramas and portraits of his lovely muse.
Lomography Gallery Store Soho ran our first ever Lomo'instant workshops at the Wilderness Festival in the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside. The weather was glorious and we were fully booked all weekend. We managed capture the festival spirit with an LCA Wide and a Lomo'instant of our own.
Last week we celebrated the arrival of the Lomo'Instant camera at the Lomography Soho Store with a huge launch party. We opened our doors late to showcase this exciting new compact instant camera! We gave you the chance to hold this beauty in your hands and have your photo taken in our instant photobooth. Read on to catch the event highlights.
Join us for an evening with NYC-based fashion photographer Emily Soto. Concurrent with her exhibition at our Gallery Store, "Petzval Portrats: Bloom," Emily will discuss her work and experience using the New Petzval Art Lens in her work. Gather insight into the creative process of one of New York's favorite photographers. This event will take place on July 9 at 6:00 p.m.
A series of self-portraits taken using a Polaroid camera by acclaimed musician Stevie Nicks is the subject of an upcoming exhibit at the Morrison Hotel Galleries in New York and Los Angeles, USA. Details after the jump!
Here at the Lomography NYC Gallery Store, we are always testing and playing with our cameras and accessories. We asked our staff to test the new Lomo'Instant camera. This time Yael, our lab manager, shared a few pictures shot around her personal life.
Introducing Emil Rivera, a New York-based multidisciplinary designer, illustrator, photographer and storyteller. He's a dedicated lomographer-- always shooting with our film, hanging out at the store and using our lab services. A regular, a friend, a creator.
St. George's Day was sunny and full of energy this year. A group of Morris dancers graced us with their presence around Soho, and we took the chance to do an impromptu shoot with our favorite cameras just outside the Lomography Gallery Store!
Since Lomography launched its new Petzval 58 Bokeh Control Art Lens project on Kickstarter, we've been seeing a variety of pictures, from images of snow monkeys in Japan to behind-the-scenes shots of New York Fashion Week. Many of these pictures were shot with digital cameras, but we've yet to see how the Petzval 58 performs on an analog Canon Rebel camera loaded with black and white, and x-pro film. Join us on a trip through the heart of New York's Chinatown during the Lunar New Year Parade.
Happy New Year Everyone. We're confident that our January 2015 workshops will help you dust off those January blues and get you smiling again. You'll be able to learn how to expose an image onto fabric or canvas with our LUMI paint workshop, learn the basics of our super Diana F+ camera and take to the streets with the Lomo'instant. There is also a great exhibition of analogue prints from photographer Arat “Huge” Komsawadichai. Find out more and book your spot by clicking here.
