Oktoberfest: A Little Different

5

My October started pretty good with some Rock 'n' Roll!!! Rock in Rio finally came back to its hometown.

My Oktoberfest was a little different. But not because I live in Brazil; after all, we have Oktoberfest here! It’s organized by the German community in the southern part of the country.

But, my October was all about music!

During the last weekend of September and the first of October, Rio received a lot of cool bands in a festival called Rock in Rio. The Rock in Rio brand has been active in other countries, such as Portugal and Spain, but the last real Rock in Rio in Rio itself was way back in 2001.

The line-up had bands like: Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Stevie Wonder, Jamiroquai, Ke$ha, Rihanna, Katy Perry, Metallica, Guns n Roses, System of a Down, Joss Stone, and a lot more.

I wasn’t sure if my Spinner was going to be considered a weapon, so I didn’t take it on the first day. But in my second night of Rock in Rio, I took my Spinner 360 and Fisheye 2! It was lots of fun, I’d just wish I had some more daylight!

See, Oktoberfest isn’t all about beer and hotdogs (even though that was my basic diet during Rock in Rio)!

The Spinner 360° goes beyond the confines of standard panoramic cameras. See everything around you (literally!), and be swept away by truly spectacular results. Head to our Online Shop and get your own Spinner 360°!

And of course, I brought my analogue cameras along to eternalize all of these small but grand moments in life.

The World, According to Herr Willie: The Amazon

It was the Amazon which I had longed for my whole life. And when it was finally a set deal that I will travel to Brazil with two of my best friends for the Copa do Mundo (World Cup), we really had to start our adventure in the Amazon. I had known about this magical place deep in the rainforest. There was a lodge run by local people of indigenous background, with wooden houses that float on the water and a limited number of visitors. It was eco-tourism as how it should be. To preserve and to celebrate one of the most impressive locations I have seen so far.
