This is where we find ourselves after a day's work (especially Friday's!) and drown ourselves in a pitcher of booze and Bailey's!
Crammer’s Cafe was opened last September and for the tribute that this cafe caters most of the student’s need, the manager asked our humble group to stick a lomowall in their cafe. Too good to be true.
Up until now, the wall can still be seen over the interiors. Crammer’s Cafe serves not only caffeine-related drinks, but also for one’s self to dry out over the hectic work for the past week.
The foods in this place are great. Every order in the menu has its own name (Chocolate drink would go like “Semestral Break”) related to any school/college stuffs. My favorite here is the Calamares and the Green Tea Shake. It comes around 50 Pesos (more like a dollar).
Crammer’s Cafe is located in General Luna Street - where most of the happenings next to Small ville can be found. Right outside the cafe are hotels, suites, and anything you can find for a relaxation (that includes spa treatment). Crammer’s Cafe is student-friendly when it comes to budget savings. It includes a lot of “self-help” books, has a mini-table ala Japanese style for guys to sit down and study, and tons of board games for everyone to play! If you have an ID from your school, they will give you a ten-peso discount (too bad for us).
Mulholland Drive is what sunny dreams and nightmares would look like in the hands of a Surrealist. In this edition of Friday Movie Flashback, we unravel the psychological pyrotechnics of Cannes-winning director David Lynch.
Russell Darling is one of our Lomography UK regulars. He is a big part of our community of film fanatics and regularly joins our workshops and events. In this interview, we asked him about his experience shooting with the Lomo LC-A 120, as well as his work as visual effects practitioner for films such as "Star Wars," "Twilight," and "Godzilla."
Our new website is now about 2 months old. After rolling out the most important features in the beginning, we have now been fine tuning them and working on the overall performance of the website. Taking a step back, we now want to ask what you think about it!
The Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma in Helsinki, Finland is set to reopen its doors on March 13, Friday after months of renovation with an exhibit featuring the work of acclaimed American photographer Robert Mapplethorpe.
We asked some of New York’s hottest designers to lend their talent in designing some of our La Sardina DIY cameras, and we are very excited to share with you Verena's work. Verena is an illustrator and graphic designer who has contributed to the site for '40 Days of Dating' and so much more.
Being a part of Fashion Week is not easy. You need to know high-profile personalities and e-mail tons of guys to be on the Fashion Week A-list. So when Christopher came to Lomography with the idea of being our official Fashion Week correspondent (and after showing us his stunning fashion portfolio), we were very excited to work with him.
For the last year we've been working on the next version of Lomography. We based our work on the feedback you’ve given us over the years and we wanted to share it as early as possible with you and can’t wait to hear what you think. Just one warning first: it is still in development and things can break. All the photos, comments, likes, homes and everything else were transferred as of October 16th, 2014. So anything you do on next.lomography.com won't be reflected on www.lomography.com and vice versa. Once we are done with testing, everything you did here will be deleted again. So this is a big playground for you to explore.
A vacation is a trove of vibrant objects: the countertop of sublime-looking drinks, the mosaic tiles that line an Olympic-sized pool, the nautical stripes of beach chairs. We remember in detail, and photography is our way to anticipate what we will catalog long after the break is over. This Lomography Color Negative gallery celebrates the still life wonders of these dreamy holidays.
You want your subject be the center of attention? Petzval lens photos are recognizable for sharpness and crispness in the centre, strong color saturation, wonderful swirly bokeh effect, artful vignettes and narrow depth of field that will make your subjects stand out!
For three months last year, I traveled to 11 cities of eight Southeast Asian countries. My first destination from my hometown of Seoul was Vietnam. After 10 days in Hanoi, I joined a group tour to Sapa, an area known for its hill tribes. This is a photo story of my two days and one night in this remote but vibrant place.
C.S. Muncy is a freelance photojournalist based in New York City. He has done some incredible work for The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and Newsday, among others. In this short interview, we will find out about his experience shooting with the Lomo LC-A 120!
The shoutbox is always open for the community's honest opinions, surprising suggestions, and sweetest greetings. It is also an avenue for members from across different countries to dicuss and interact with one another. We'd like to commend these lomographers for keeping this humble space booming with entertaining conversations all year long. Congratulations to our top shoutbox users of 2014.
