Tips for a Fall Themed Photo Walk!

2

Autumn is one of the best times to take some photos. Most people take the time to take photos of trees but there are also other creative ideas that you can do for your fall-themed photoshoot!

Here are some ideas that you can make use of when you go on a photo shoot this fall:

1. There are lots of things that you can shoot during the autumn season, not just trees! Take a look around and see the vibrant colors that other objects offer. One good idea is to go to the park. Take pictures of the children playing or create some art with the fallen leaves! This is something that you can do with other photography enthusiasts. Another idea is to bring your camera with you when you do your errands. The market is one place where you can take pictures of the vibrant colors of fruits and vegetables that are in season!

2. Play with the shadows. During the autumn, the sun casts longer shadows and you can use this to your advantage when composing your shots. Play with what nature gives you! The shadows can also give your photos a nice contrast if you have vibrant colors on your subjects.

3. Take pictures of the small details around you. You can end up with a wonderful photo of something small, such as a fallen leaf, a pile of leaves, tree branches and small animals. You don’t even have to leave your own home to get pictures of such objects!

With these tips in mind, you can surely come up with some wonderful autumn images! So get your camera, go out and shoot!

My neighborhood is so damn ugly and unspectacular none of these tips (which are great by the way) wont work. The "Jack-o-lanterns" are just old pumpkins with faces taped on. the trees are almost all dead. what few trees that did survive the drought are sickly and infested with bugs.

It's really in to take photos of a special texture and then do an MX on something else, I think that this is really cool with autumn leaves, a really vibrant color and texture onto a portrait! Lovely post by the way!

    Registering Moments With the Lomo'Instant

Some people say instant photos bring about a feeling of nostalgia. Although I often use the Lomo'Instant Camera with different crazy accessories such as the Splitzer and color gels, I have to agree there is something about it — dreamy vignettes maybe? — that always makes me want to go back in time and experience it all over again. In the name of analogue photography and good old memories, we passed by some classic spots in Vienna and took one shot after the other. Take a closer look at our gallery.

The World According to Herr Willie: The Amazon

It was the Amazon which I had longed for my whole life. And when it was finally a set deal that I will travel to Brazil with two of my best friends for the Copa do Mundo (World Cup), we really had to start our adventure in the Amazon. I had known about this magical place deep in the rainforest. There was a lodge run by local people of indigenous background, with wooden houses that float on the water and a limited number of visitors. It was eco-tourism as how it should be. To preserve and to celebrate one of the most impressive locations I have seen so far.

A Salute to the Masters: Judo (A Tribute to Sabine Weiss)

This article is a tribute to the street and humanist photographer Sabine Weiss. Considered a living legend in street photography, she likes to photograph daily lives of people, trying to capture the emotions she recognizes around her. Weiss like to photograph people of all ages but she especially loves to take photos of children, masterfully immortalizing their spontaneous gestures and emotions. For this article, I was inspired by one of her rare sports photos of some children practicing judo. Do you want to know more about this great artist? Well, read on!
