We love Katharine Hepburn. We love skateboarding. So this is a dream come true: Katharine Hepburn on a skateboard, classy as one can be. Maybe not as overly descriptive as our other articles in this series, but come on: Katharine Hepburn! On a skateboard!
I don’t know where I’ve stumbled upon this photo, most likely it was on Kottke. According to Flavorwire the photo is from Katharine Hepburn’s autobiography Me: Stories of My Life, taken by Jack Grant.
For the last year we've been working on the next version of Lomography. We based our work on the feedback you’ve given us over the years and we wanted to share it as early as possible with you and can’t wait to hear what you think. Just one warning first: it is still in development and things can break. All the photos, comments, likes, homes and everything else were transferred as of October 16th, 2014. So anything you do on next.lomography.com won't be reflected on www.lomography.com and vice versa. Once we are done with testing, everything you did here will be deleted again. So this is a big playground for you to explore.
We may be far from being the jetsetting professional photographers that Steve McCurry and David Alan Harvey already are, but we sure can still learn a thing or two from this video when it comes to packing our photography gear for our own trips!
Her choice of soak for her photographic series "Float On" may not be everybody's cup of tea, but it can't be denied that something so unique deserves a spot in the limelight. During a recent chat with Brigette Bloom, the outlandishly experimental film photographer eagerly shared her inspiration for the series, process (a tipster!), and what she thought of people's reactions over her work, among other things. Check out the exclusive interview after the cut!
As one of our most seasoned community members, herbert-4's collection of photos spans over decades of experience in film photography. Many of his albums contain images that we could only dream of capturing, from a time and generation that not many of us had the chance to be part of. Not surprisingly, each photo is entitled to its own story, and herbert-4 shares the story behind this one after the jump.
We are thrilled to announce that next week our new community site will be launched! As the final step in the re-launch process, next Monday (2nd February) we will make the move over to the new site. This will mean that on Monday you will not be able to log-in and the site will be read-only for a period.
Oh no, we are terribly sorry! Alas, our amazing Lomography Super Photo Spray is only a pipe-dream invented by us cheeky chaps for April Fool’s Day! Whilst this Super Spray would be pretty awesome (if the photos didn’t take quite so long to develop!), there are still all kinds of ways you can enjoy analogue photography this very minute...
Exactly one month ago, we featured a fascinating project called "Brownie in Motion" by Columbus, Ohio-based photographer Stephen Takacs. We've recently had an interview with the man himself, in which he discusses in great detail not only his "dream project" but also his other works in various photographic processes including the ambrotype, tintype, and platinum palladium! Read our exclusive chat and take a look at his awesome work after the jump!
