Make Your Prophecy Finalist: iidiko

8

Congratulations to iidiko, one of the Make Your Prophecy Competition finalists! Read on to see her winning artwork and find out why she chose to represent the prophecy she did...

Name: Manuela Schohaus
Country: Germany
LomoHome: iidiko

Why did you choose the prophecy you did? What does this prophecy mean to you?

This prophecy is for me the best description, if you had to explain Lomography to someone. For me, the prophecy means that you should go one step back to understand the present. I’ve learned from the shooting with the Diana F + camera a lot more about photography than I ever would learn with a fully automatic digital camera, where you don´t have to think about exposure, distance, etc. …

Why did you choose to represent it as you did?

Video games are for me the epitome of “digital” (yes, I like to play on my console). I have tried to present the Super Mario game on analog way. And I like the theme.

What do you think would be a good 11th Prophecy?

Tell your neighbors about Lomography.

@strangelilgirl: I guess at the end we'll have 10 finalists and 1 big winner... I thought we were just 10 but... we are 11 amazing finalists!!! :D. good luck to all!!!!

@susielomovitz Oh! that's definitely not what I thought they meant by 10 finalists, but that would certainly explain why there's 11. Either way...I am so nervous and excited! Now comes the real wait I suppose.
