Autumn is one of the best times of the year to take some photos. During this time, you can capture wonderful colors and the true beauty of nature. Here are some tips to get you started!
The vibrant colors of leaves falling off a tree can be truly mesmerizing. Autumn brings an opportunity for you to take out your Lomographic cameras and shoot awesome pictures of nature! Gather your friends for a fun-filled shoot outdoors, or try your hand at shooting postcard worthy photos! But before shooting, here are some reminders:
Lighting is one element that you have to work with when composing your pictures. In some locations, Autumn brings overcast skies. Don’t fret! This won’t ruin your autumn photos! You just have to learn to work with the light conditions. If it’s a bit gloomy, use your flash and get soft shadows on your photos.
Shoot Early in the Season
The best time to shoot is when you see the leaves starting to change color. Get your camera and films ready and shoot, shoot, shoot! By shooting early in the season, you’ll get to capture the vibrant reds, oranges and yellows that autumn has to offer. Shooting early is also important if you don’t want to end up having photos of bare trees!
Shoot at Different Times
Waking up early in the morning can be a bit hard, especially during autumn when mornings seem darker. However, you can capture some wonderful images if you shoot at dawn. You’d be lucky if you get misty mornings in your location. Having mist, together with the autumn leaves in your photos, can give your photos a dramatic feel.
Lastly, don’t forget to have fun! Gather your friends, go to a nice location and shoot your hearts out. Throw some leaves around if you have to! You are sure to get some vibrant and interesting shots with what autumn has to offer!
