Fight Lomographic Crime with the Sidekick!

7

It's a Lomography crime not to bring your camera everywhere you go, but it's hard to find a bag that will carry and protect your precious cameras properly... together with your keys, textbook, pills, stapler, and kitchen sink. Save the day with the Lomography TPE Sidekick!

The biggest Lomographic crime out there is not having your camera available with you wherever you go. An even sadder crime is just throwing your camera in your book-bag and letting it get damaged by your heavy chemistry book. But what is one to do?

The TPE Sidekick has forever changed my Lomographic life. It’s very sturdy, waterproof, animal friendly, and has plenty of room and pockets for anything you might want to carry, including your precious Lomographic cameras. Not to mention it goes with any outfit.

The bag is actually two bags in one. The upper outside portion will come off by simply unclipping it.

Inside the upper portion you can keep your precious cameras or more. I personally keep my Diana F+ and her flash in these pockets. There’s also a pocket for you to keep any cash or cards, and also mesh pockets, which are great for storing small things like batteries and flash gels.

In the large bag, I keep everything else. My Lomography journal, pens, pencils, mints, tissues, a pocket hairbrush, umbrella, wallet; whatever you need! I’ve even carried my bulky laptop in here. There’s also a front pocket that says “Rule #1: Take your camera with you everywhere you go.” Behind this pocket there’s another one that unzips. I keep my keys in here:

Other awesome features of this bag include adjustable straps for both bags, and a hidden place for you to take your favorite photos with you. It’s a great way to show people what Lomography is, instead of trying to explain it.

I totally recommend this for anyone, guys and girls. The TPE Sidekick will never let you down and always saves the day!

The Sidekick TPE Bag features a 2-in-1 detachable design and is made from 100% water-resistant TPE to tackle even the heaviest of weather conditions. It features a small camera bag on the front, which clips perfectly to a large bag in the back that can hold a small laptop, vinyl records or similar-sized items. Comes in two sizes — Standard and smaller Lite.

i liked mine at first but it doesn't fit as much as i want. the inside compartment is unsightly when it bugles out from being stuffed. and the smaller pouch only carries two small cameras or one wide camera.

Lomography Fisheye No.2: Seven Years of Wonder

Exactly seven years ago, I bought this camera from Indonesia's local Lomography community. I remember having some savings in my bank account and just spending it all on this camera. At that time, I browsed the microsite for the Lomography Fisheye No.2 and immediately fell in love with it! Coincidentally, my friend who introduced me to Lomography just bought this same camera for his birthday. My life has changed ever since I had the Fisheye, my first lomographic camera.

Useful Guidelines on Shooting with Ultra Wide Lenses

Wide-angle lens are further divided into sub-classifications: Wide, ultra-wide and ultra-ultra-wide. Based on current standards, wide lenses for 35mm cameras are those with focal lengths ranging from 24 to 35mm. Lenses are considered ultra-wide if they have focal lengths from 17 to 21 mm, and ultra-ultra-wide if from 12 to 16mm. The New Russar+ is a 20mm lens; hence it falls under the ultra-wide classification. If you have an ultra-wide lens or if you intend to get the Russar+, you might as well make the most out of your precious investment. Read on for a few guidelines on shooting with ultra-wide lenses.
