  • The 1000 tori shrines in Inari, Kyoto.

    shared by susielomovitz on 2010-11-30

Fushimi Inari was founded in 711, and is the main shrine of a complex which trails all over the Inari mountain. In Japan Inari is the patron of wealth, and so the entire complex is worshipped by businesses from around Kyoto and beyond. In order to receive good fortune local businesses donate 'torii' which are traditional Japanese gates meant to mark the transition from the profane to the sacred. Fushimi Inari now has many thousand of these Torii all around the mountain, each one bearing the name of its donor.

  • Bandung Air Show II, Day 3, Saturday, September,…

    shared by hervinsyah on 2014-01-10

Aerobatic plane with bravo type were across above us, me, @debi4n , @bebopbebop & @@git_redshot1108 when we were on lomowalk at this show, suddenly the plane fly through the tree and BAMMMM, the big black smoke were flown to the sky. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It's happen again, the airplane crash, just like in Bandung Air Show I, two years ago. At BAS I, the pilot of aerobatic plane, Alexander Supelli passed away at the hospital, few days after the crash. This time co-pilot Letnan Kolonel (Luitenant Colonel) Toni Hartono & pilot Marsma TNI (Purn) {retirement lieutenant general in the air force} dr Norman Tagor Lubis, Sp M(K) {Occulist}, but clarified by family that the pilot was Tony Hartono and co-pilot was Norman Lubis ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- When the accident happen in BAS, I watched it at tv because I can't go to the airport, but this time, me, @debi4n , @bebopbebop & @git_redshot1108 witnessed the airplane crash. It's very awful, deepest mourning to the family, and I'm agree with the air force leader said to the press that don't let the crash close the next two year event, but I agree more with the press said, there should be tight evaluation for the next BAS two years from now and let's pray that this was the 2nd and the last accident happen. Amin
