Sometimes I find a good place to take pictures, but just the lack of a model in the photo, When I think of what way to shoot, I became a model and my boyfriend helps to take photos for me.

A quick visit a couple of weeks ago to the French King Bridge. I like to go down to the little iron bridge below it. The Millers River flows into the Connecticut River at this point and it's just a beautiful spot to view the FKB and check out the boating action. This was actually about a week after Hurricane Irene hit the Northeast and normally you don't see whitewater rafters on this river but the ones they usually run in the Berkshires west of here were so swollen they were quite dangerous.

I don't know how many packs of Impossible's Silver Shade I've burnt through trying to master the new film's idiosyncrasies, but it's MANY. After much frustration and disappointment however, I am finally beginning to get some interesting (or at least passable) results. I took this indoors on my spirit under tungsten light. It took ages for the image to appear, and it's a little shaky, but I like the way it came out.

These negatives were pretty badly scratched, and I scanned them using a basic flatbed scanner, which added even more dust and scratches.

The second half of this roll was shot by my little sister in our home town, with a roll of redscale and an LC-A I gave her as gifts. So although these aren't really my pictures, I'm ok about taking a little credit.

I was experimenting with my color splash flash in this picture. Rio and I picked a parking garage that had brightly colored walls. I selected a colored gel that was the compliment, here red to the green. This is one of my favorites because of the feeling of motion on a two dimensional surface, the balance of the picture even though not staged, and the energy of the complimentary colors.
