Auschwitz is practically part of any Eastern European tour. It was an experience just walking thru the grounds. We were the last group of visitors and as it was wintery at that time, the sun was setting quickly and it was all grey and gloomy. I remembered a sense of dread washing over me and it was horrible to see remnants of prisoner's pasts and the photos of the dead. I really hope such atrocities nv happen ever again.
