I've been infatuated with film for sometime. My father first handed me a Minolta X-370 when I was six, taught me the basics and gave me a roll of film, saying; shoot what you want to, focus well, and …for pete's sake just don't break the camera. That film let me win in the local 4-H fair, I was hooked. I continued shooting for some time, until my family got a digital camera when I was 15 or so. Our precious Minolta fell by the wayside and I didn't enjoy the change. There was no charm or speciality to photography, the anticipation of finally picking up the developed prints after days of waiting. They just appeared on a screen. Later I found out about Holgas through a friend and wanted one out of reasonable prices and nostalgia, but in August 2009 my Aunt (www.deborahhart.com) handed me an original Holga 120s and a Lubitel 166u, under the condition that I sent her copies of my work every so often. With little to no effort, I'm back into analogue photography, feeling like I've reclaimed some of my forgotten childhood. Film really seems to run in the family, and I'm enjoying every minute of it. show more show less
