From the bus, Como 2014.

A tribute to Robert Frank and his work - From the bus, New York 1958 -

He said: Whenever I look at these pictures I think that I ought to be able to say something about the way it felt when I took them and how I took them (with a Leica) and why I like them. The Bus carries me thru the City, I look out the window, I look at the people on the street, the Sun and the Traffic Lights. It has to do with desperation and endurance. I have always felt that about living in New York. Compassion and probably some understanding for New York. Concrete and its people, walking... waiting... standing up... holding hands... the summer of 1958. -

These photos were taken with my Lomo L(ei)CA using a timeless film, a Kodak Tri-X 400. All these photos are uncropped and unrotated.
