Heartbreaks with Diana F+

13

I am always fascinated with all the lomographs I’ve seen here in Lomography.. and one thing that fascinates me is the lomographs from Diana F+.

As a beginner in this field of film photography, I don’t have much idea about everything, I tried to read books about analogue photography, read helpful articles and even tipsters which would help me somehow to build my photography skills.

I bought Diana F+, my third lomo camera. I also bought 35mm back which I think would be very convenient and helpful to cut the cost of 120 films. My first test roll with the Diana F+ was a disaster.! Nothing came out in the film. It was all blank. I felt so embarrassed when the Lab Tech told me there was no images in my film. He told me maybe I did something wrong with the setting and all the stuffs. So it made me so worried and left myself thinking what was wrong about my camera, or it was just me?

I’m really bothered so I took a second roll of 120 film. Thanked God, there was images captured on the film. But i didn’t see the whole printed picture since I just told the lab to develop the film only.. Maybe, I’ll try next time when I am ready and confident to take photos with the 120 film..

Now, my first time with 35mm back was somehow successful, Maybe I’m confident to use 35mm now, coz most of my cameras are 35mm. But the thing, is I always forgot if I already switched it to the next frame.. so most of my photos were crappy doubled images on it!

Im getting impatient with this camera.. Seriously.. haha But thank you to some of my lomo friends, telling me not to give up.. Maybe, i just need more practice..and patience as well. As a beginner, I know I still have lots of things to learn..

Diana F+ please don’t give me headache next time! hahaha

@shelleybee : You're welcome, many times I'm feeling disappointed too with my camera. Until I viewing a lot of amazing photo with the same camera I use, it made me realize that it's not the camera, it's the creativity of the camera user

@shelleybelley well i guess sometimes it's really depressing, but when you're used to diana f+, it's a good camera!^ i mean, look at your photos! it's nice! but really sometimes it's really depressing since the shutter setting is not on an ideal place, so i kept forgetting about it, so don't give up and always do the best!^^
