I started shooting as a child with a Halma Flex (similar to the Lubitel 166+); then, I went for a Kodak Instamatic 155X; my next purchase was the Vivitar V3000S but it seems this camera had a problem and I only used it a couple of times; so I went to digital cameras (Kodak , Canon and Nikon) . Despite technological advances in the digital domain, I’ve always missed the warmth of analogue photography, the lack of pixels and the manual control when shooting, among other qualities only found in photographic film! A few years ago, I saw a camera (possibly a Diana F+) downtown Rio but I haven’t contemplated the possibility of buying it; then I saw the name “Lomo” associated with an application for Smartphone, providing various filters; only in 2013, through Pixable (an iPad app) I saw, for the first time, the name " Lomography " and I decided to search the internet ; after knowing the brand’s history, I came, finally, to the Lomography web site"; I was impressed by the number of products , something we don’t see, anymore, in the common stores; I’m very happy for knowing there are two Lomography Galleries in Brazil: the one in São Paulo, a city I like so much and another one in my “Marvelous City”, Rio de Janeiro! I’ve ordered the LC-A+RL , the Belair 6 X 12 City Slicker and some accessories. Thanks to “Lomography”, I started feeling that emotion that was stored in my childhood, the “analogue ritual” that makes us dive in lomographic enjoyment! Thank you, very much, “Lomography”!
