A few months ago I decided to give it a try on ghidini's Lomo Safari. In short, you have to take pictures of 9 things. With a 36 exposures film, it makes 4 pictures for each theme, from which you must pick your favorites.
This is a nice photography exercise. Some things make you think, some things make you go out of your comfort zone. I really enjoyed it. Until I drop the film at the lab to find out only 4 pictures came out.
Again, I forgot to check for that red light in my LC-A that informs you of the battery status. Also, LC-A tends to have problems with the battery connectors, easily solved by cleaning them and remove the batteries when you are not using the camera. Yes, I never (used to) do that.
It really annoys me that after 12 years, I still make the same mistakes with my LC-A. It also annoys me that I wasted a Kodak Elitechrome 100, no longer in production. And I really think that the pictures would be great because I do like the ones that come out!
I’m sooo mad at myself. But here I’ve learned that the best thing to do with my mistakes is sharing them with the community! ’Cause you always make me feel better! :)
So… here it is, my ridiculous Lomo Safari!
- A Street Sign
- Someone from your Family
- The Smell of Coffee
I was already thinking about doing a Summer Lomo Safari… Well, now I’ll surely do it! ;)
