Can your Analogue Pictures Tell you the Future?

I took this picture last Christmas. I really liked how it came out, the only thing that wasn’t great was that my grandfather looks like a ghost.

I told many times to myself that no other result would come out when you take pictures of people against the sun. Everybody knows this. It just happened that my grandfather was the one family member that had the sun on his back, my racional me said.

For some reason, I always felt there was a non-racional reason for this. I felt this meant my grandfather was slowly, gently leaving us. I remember looking at the picture and wondering if this was his last Christmas. And then, probably, I said to myself, don’t be silly, girl!

Today, 19th December 2012, my grandfather left us. He won’t spend anymore Christmas with the family. It really was his last Christmas lunch.
