Updated on 24th June 2013 with some info from lomographers and Lomography.
Lomography B&W 100, 120 – Discontinued
I don’t think this film is the same as the Lomography Earl Gray 100 (and BTW, Earl Gray 120 is a limited edition!), although I’ve only tried the last in the 35mm version. This B&W 100 120 film was available a few years ago and I don’t think it is available anymore.
Update: Rebranded Shanghai GP3 100, according to mcdenis13.
Lomography X-Pro Slide 100
I also don’t think this is the late Chrome edition. I got it a few years ago, I’m not even sure how. It was a single pack and I think it probably came in those fabulous mixed brand slide bundles Lomography online had in the past. I’m not a film expert at all. Do you think this is the same as the Chrome?
Update: AgfaPhoto CT Precisa 100 (finished by Ferrania, according to mcdenis13), according to many lomographers and more or less confirmed by Lomography. I guess CT Precisa is still on production but Ferrania shut down, so…?
Lomography Redscale 100
I still have a pack of the 120 version of this film and it is still available online but the 35mm version is long gone from Lomography online shop. I’m not sure it is still in production but I’m guessing it is discontinued.
Update: Redscaled Ferrania Solaris FG Plus 100, according to mcdenis13. Ferrania shut down so, bye, bye. :/
Lomography Redscale XR
As the Redscale 100, the 120 version of this film is still available online, but the 35mm is out of stock for months now. I’ve already lost my hopes to see it available again. It was a cool film.
Update: Redscaled Ferrania Solaris FG Plus 400, according to mcdenis13. Ferrania shut down so, bye, bye. :/
Lomography X Tungsten – Limited Edition
This was always presented as a limited edition so I got my hands on a pack of it as soon as I could. With this one I guess there is no doubt: discontinued.
Update: Legendary Fuji T64 emulsion, confirmed by Lomography.
Lomography X-Pro Chrome 100 – Discontinued
The X-Pro Chrome discontinuation was also announced and I wish Lomography would do this always. I liked it much better than the 200 X-Pro. Another loss for the Lomography films family.
Update: No more doubts, it is indeed Kodak Elite Chrome 100, confirmed by Lomography. And that is why there was an announcement by LSI… ’cause so did Kodak.
Lomography CN 800
I’m guessing this one is still in production but it has been a while the 35mm version is not available online… what do you know about the situation of this one?
Update: Ferrania Solaris FG Plus, according to mcdenis13. Ferrania shut down so, bye, bye. :/
Lomography Sunset Strip
Was this ever announced as very limited edition? I could never put my hand on this one. It was available online only for a few weeks and it was never available on my city’s Embassy. I got convinced there was just a little stock of it and it has been unavailable for so long now that I considered it lost.
So, imagine my surprise when I found out it is still available on other online shops!! Why is Lomography keeping this film away from me?! :’(
Update: Lomography placed 3 of these precious on the online shop after my complains! Coincidence or not, it was actually a great surprise. Also, a dear lomographer sent me one after reading this blog for some doubles (such a great and giving community… thanks a lot! :´))).
According to mcdenis13, it is a Lomo X-Pro 200 with a pre exposed yellowish strip. I don’t know, I just like it much better than the X-Pro 200!!
Update: All this talk made me want to know more so I’m adding some Lomography films I didn’t mention when I first wrote this entry!
Lomography X-Pro 200
I didn’t mention it before ‘cause somehow I don’t care much for this film and it keeps on restocking on the shop. Lomography recently published it is the legendary Agfa RSX II 200. I’m guessing those rumors about it being the same as the Rollei Crossbird are not true… or are they? Maybe they are all the same…?
Lomography CN 100
Wow, wow, what is this? I love it and it’s cheap! Great colors, what a surprise! Why didn’t I notice it before? It is always restocking so I thought there were no worries… but wait… is it also Ferrania? Is it also lost?!
Lomography CN 400
If you don’t know which film to use, use this one. Anywhere, any time, any camera! It is always available but, as the 100 ISO… is it Ferrania, is it lost forever?!
I really wish Lomography could update us on Lomography film status and mark the ones that are discontinued on the online shops. But while they don’t make something about it, we the community can give our best try. What do you know about these films status? Please, share your information with us! ;)
Update: Lomography is giving out some information about their films on the Lomopedia articles. I’m waiting for more articles to confirm some of the info on this blog entry. Thanks everyone for the help!
