Summer is for multilens cameras outdoors... winter is for light painting indoors.
Summer is time to grab a multilens camera, in my case my favorite, the Supersampler, clean the dust it accumulated during the short and dark winter days, meet some friends and got shoot outside, in the park, in the beach… The sun is back and so are the long luminous days and everybody feels like socializing – everything a multilens camera loves!
But summer is gone and although it still warm and sunny here, winter is coming…
Winter is time to order some higher ISO films, to stay at home eating chocolate and watch a good movie… or grab a camera with B mode and do some light painting! You just need a lantern/candle/any light at all and that’s it. The days seem huge? This will keep you having fun for some hours. And you know what I have found out? There is something addictive in doing light painting, once you start you really get in the mood! Home alone, nothing to do, freezing outside, all of your friends are staying home? Grab a flash (the colorsplash is great for this), the funniest accessories you have (hats, glasses, clothes, your imagination!) and do some multiple self-portraits.
This is how I intend to spend my winter evenings at home!
