"Em Abril, águas mil" (something like "In April, many water", referring to April showers). This month, finally, it's been raining a lot, so I had to forgot all about picnics and visiting the Botanical Garden. In April, I paid my tribute to the water, visiting my city's aqueduct.
Ok, visiting my city’s aqueduct is a way of saying it. We actually got there at 6 pm, when it was already closed. But I didn’t care much because, although I’ve never visited it, I suspected the cool pictures are taken outside.
I love this building. Once, someone asked what was my favorite monument in Lisbon. Probably, this is mine, the Aqueduto das Águas Livres (something like the Free Waters Aqueduct). Not only I find it beautiful, but also I love the meaning of it – bring water to the people. Water distribution is a major issue in any society, although we tend to forget it in modern (so-called) developed countries.
For this lomowalk I took the LC-A with a Kodak Ektachrome 100 G, the Horizon Kompakt loaded with Kodak Ektar 100, and the Spinner with Agfa Vista Plus 400. And victim #1 for lomowalks, my boyfriend. :)
