return
shared by werriston on 2010-11-28This is the first roll of film I ever put through my Holga. I was on my first trip (of what would be many) to Western Australia with my then-girlfriend, Emily. The second day there, we walked to this beach near her house in Warnbro, near Rockingham, with her family's dog, Sally. It's hard to do justice to the impossible colours of the West Australian coast, but the Velvia captured them beautifully.

Castillo de Chapultepec
shared by comezone on 2010-02-16Chapultepec Castle (Castillo de Chapultepec in Spanish) is located on top of Chapultepec Hill. The name Chapultepec stems from the Náhuatl word chapoltepēc which means "at the grasshopper's hill". It is located in the middle of Chapultepec Park in Mexico City at a height of 2,325 meters (7,628 ft) above sea level. The site of the hill was a sacred place for Aztecs, and the buildings atop it have served several purposes during its history; including that of Military Academy, Imperial residence, Presidential home, observatory, and presently, the Museo Nacional de Historia. It is the only castle in North America that was used to house sovereigns – the reigning Mexican Emperor Maximilian I, and his consort Empress Carlota, during the Second Mexican Empire.

Dippemess
shared by sandkorn on 2005-10-24Some history information: Dippemess is a tradition which dates back to the 14th century. At that time, the Maamess, as it was then called, was a medieval market for domestic articles. Potters from the Westerwald, Kannebäckerland and Urberach came here to sell their wares, especially their ceramic bowls and pots. These were known in the Frankfurt dialect as "Dippe", from which the event soon took its name. Over the years, more and more fairground booths and popular attractions joined the market as well. The Dippemess today is Frankfurt’s largest fair and a lot of fun :) Yeahhh! x-pro Fuji sensia
