Lake Balanan is a freshwater lake found deep in the mountains of Barangay Sandulot in Siaton , a municipality in the southern portion of Negros Oriental province. Believed to be a product of 6.8 tectonic earthquake in the 1920s that caused landslides and eventually a figure 8-shaped water reservoir. After two weeks of theater workshops with children, my friend took me on a field trip with the rest of the staff and volunteers of the creative summer program to this lake. It was a wonderful place to recharge energy and quiet the mind. This photo was shot on film.
