1st day out in 2012, at the motu (little sand island in the lagoon) with a friends boat for a little picnic and relaxing afternoon. I shot with the Krab and noticed it gave the picture a strange light reflection at the bottom of each shot...

Some additional photos of New York City I took on spring break. I love the dramatic black and white Rollei Retro gives. It really seemed like the right feel for the 9/11 memorial.

We live in a island so we have lots of seawater, but we really appreciate having fresh and running water every day because it isn´t very abundant here. But when I really really need any water is after a hard and long night, and I know how lucky I am to have a refreshing swin in the sea anyplace near home!! I would miss the feeling of being imersed, of being gently touched in every part of the body, of travelling in 3 dimensions, the cooling feeling of a swimming pool dip or a warm shower on a winter morning, a feeling of balance! I would miss returning to the womb whenever i want!

If only we were two then things could be easier -- we'd finish tasks earlier, discover more places, and meet more people in this world. But then, that's a magic we still can't accomplish, that's why the illusion of double exposing is here! (POTD 05.05.12)

"The finest workers in stone are not copper or steel tools, but the gentle touches of air and water working at their leisure with a liberal allowance of time." - Henry David Thoreau. What would I miss most about water? Everything it touches.

Dippemess is a tradition which dates back to the 14th century. At that time, the Maamess, as it was then called, was a medieval market for domestic articles. Potters from the Westerwald, Kannebäckerland and Urberach came here to sell their wares, especially their ceramic bowls and pots. These were known in the Frankfurt dialect as 'Dippe' from which the event soon took its name. Over the years, more and more fairground booths and popular attractions joined the market as well. The Dippemess today is Frankfurt’s largest fair and a lot of fun :)
