Found colour negatives

While on vacation in Buenos Aires, I stumbled upon these negatives. They were laying at the base of a large tree on a small street. How can one resist the temptation to pick them up? How do you find the rightful owner in a city of 12 million people? were they intentionally thrown out?? Here goes....
