It's a strange feeling being the photographer and having someone take a picture of you.
Most of us here on Lomography.com are use to being behind the camera, capturing the scene, taking the picture. SO isn’t it a strange feeling when someone comes up to you, mid-shot, to snap a picture of YOU?
Just a few moments ago outside of my university, there was a photographer trying to capture some sort of construction going on. As I was walking by I just decided to grab my camera out of my pocket and snap a quick picture of him in-the-act. He was just so shocked. He tried to take a picture of me in return with his SLR, but I was just walking too fast. We exchanged this look, I can’t really describe it, but he just had the cutest smile, like I made his day.
Just think about it, if you’re always the one taking pictures, then all the sudden out of nowhere a young girl with a plastic camera comes and snaps a picture of you and your fancy-schmancy camera, you’ve gotta feel a little funny. I can’t stop thinking about this guy. We were complete opposites. It was just the cutest thing.
I just can’t wait to get it developed. It was pretty dark out and I as using 100iso film, so it will be a pretty dark picture, and I had no time to adjust the focus so it will most likely be blurry. But I can tell that it will probably be my favorite picture simply because every time I look at it I will be reminded of his expression afterwards.
SO EVERYONE, next time you see someone very into taking a photo, whip out your weapon of choice and take a shot. I promise you, their reaction (if they notice) will be very special.
