They are brothers who take the job of selling ice-drops during vacation in school. They do this difficult job to earn money for the next school enrollment. Despite absence of a cap on the head or a cart with an umbrella, they walk around the small town of Roxas in the middle of sunny day trying to attract buyers for the summer treats kept cold inside their styrofoam boxes. I hope these industrious boys will finish school and have a bright future ahead of them.

On a historic day of 8th August 1967, five Asian foreign ministers namely Adam Malik of Indonesia, Narciso R. Ramos of the Philippines, Tun Abdul Razak of Malaysia, S. Rajaratnam of Singapore and Thanat Khoman of Thailand met in Bangkok and signed a document known as the ASEAN Declaration. By virtue of this document, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) was born. Took these lomographs of sculptures of the founding fathers of ASEAN to test the camera I just claimed after months of custody in the repair shop.

When you want to buy Korean gift items other than bottles of kimchi, the best place to visit in Seoul is Insadong. It's a street full of little shops that sell a variety of souvenirs and knick-knacks that reflect the colorful Korean culture. A stroll along the curved street on a cold winter morning sipping hot cappuccino is a bliss.

In front of the Seoul City Hall which is under construction is a huge plaza that on winter is converted into an ice skating rink. When fangcarpenter and I visited the area we saw a huge number of people - young and old - lining up to get to the rink when it opened. We immediately brought our cameras out of bags. When the signal was given to open the rink for skaters, excitement was around as skaters conquered the huge white space of ice. It was such a visual delight seeing so many happy people around.
