Analogue Girl About Town: We Were Infinite

There's this book that I love. It neither holds revelations about our existence nor engages in a discussion about the state of the world. It’s not extraordinarily smart nor is it brilliantly creative. Nonetheless, I hold it in very high regard.

Spring Cleaning: Archive Your Negatives In Film Fans

Each Lomographer has a preferred method for cataloging his developed film. Here's how I store mine so I can easily find a particular photo I'm looking for. And it's perfect for when you need a bit of a breeze on a spring day, too!

With the beginning of 2013, a whole new year of analogue opportunities awaits. But, with the endless ideas the Lomographic Communiy has to offer, it’s hard for a newcomer to pick which idea to try first.

  • Winter EBS

    shared by hodachrome on 2012-12-29

Exposing both sides of the film(EBS). Shot upper half on a fine day with a splitzer. After finished a roll I reversed the film and set into LC-A again. Then start shooting lower half on a overcast day, also with a splitzer. ISO400 for normal/negative side, ISO200 for reversed/redscaled side. Winter might be the best season for EBS! My article about this technique: http://www.lomography.com/magazine/tipster/2013/01/14/tipster-how-to-take-symmetrical-images-with-exposing-both-sides-of-the-film-ebs

    shared by hodachrome on 2012-03-23

Dolphins are swimming in the early spring sky. Shot dolphins first at an aquarium. After finished whole a roll I set it again into LC-A and then start shooting at an amusement park. There are only a few nice results and this is the best one. Tough challenge but worth trying :)

Got to go on a catamaran on my weekend at the Big Island! I saw a whole bunch of whales (one swam right by the boat! But I missed it...), big manta rays, and swam with dolphins! Unfortunately, it wasn't quite bright enough for 200, so a whole bunch of my photos are a smidge blurry :(

First attempt at some double exposures on my Mamiya TLR. Shot with a tripod and cable release on Fuji Velvia 50 iso, with the camera set to 25. Most of the images were overexposed, so I threw away the color channels and scanned the infrared channel instead. Keeping the images black and white was the only way to retain an acceptable level of detail. Fingers crossed for better results next time.
